Remembering Together
A journey through lived experiences, stories collected from elders and shamans of the tribe, messages from Mother Earth, Ancestors and the more than human world.

About Me
I am Alyen Foning, and I call my ancestral home in Kalimpong my refuge. Rooted in the Lepcha community, where sacred mountains and rivers hold the wisdom of generations, I find solace in the land that helped shape me today.
In 2014, I experienced a nervous breakdown in Goa—a moment that broke me apart but also led me back home. Returning Home was not only a journey of healing, but also of reconnecting with my roots and the shamanic traditions that have long been a part of my lineage.
Remembering Together
Through an online storytelling using textile art, we will journey through my lived experiences, stories collected from elders and shamans of the tribe, messages from Mother Earth, Ancestors and the more than human world.
We explore longing, loss, disconnection and the emotions we often struggle to face. In remembering, we begin to heal. Together, we will journey into our origins, the wisdom of shamanic traditions, and our undeniable connection to nature, rediscovering the threads that quietly bind us all.
