It is no surprise that seeking for ‘change’ and searching for answers in the outside world often leaves one exasperated, burnt out and feeling at a dead-end.

It is because what we seek, the changes we desire & the source of our innate creativity is all within us.

Our body is home to our innate wisdom.

The key to living a creative and fulfilling life is in learning to gracefully & joyfully arrive at the doorstep of one’s own wisdom: to come home.

Weaving together the awesomeness of Theatre, the magic of Womb Medicine and wholesome experience of returning home with Trauma Healing and Therapy, Kalaa Dhari offers you the opportunity to reclaim your path to the true joy of being, of just having fun (!!) by restoring your very essence and indulging in the thrill of your inner revolution!

Come, join us on this exploration to reclaim your true joy within. As we journey together, in solidarity with play, creativity, laughter and tears; each in accordance with our own inner evolution, each in reverence and respect for the other.

Reclaim your joy! Reclaim the thrill of being you!

What do we do?

Kalaa Dhari translates to ‘She who holds Art’; and is an organization based on principles of democracy, nurturance, co-operation, intuition, love & harmony.

Our primary work through Kalaa Dhari is in co-creating safe and playful spaces of transformation through workshop intensives. While leaning into methodologies of Theatre of the Oppressed, Womb Medicine, the Comprehensive Resource Model, Breath-work & nature based art & movement activities, the focus of our work is in reclaiming a sense of agency, a re-connection with the sense of Self and with nature, that might have been lost or misplaced due to various personal & socio-political enmeshment.

This work is done from a space of feeling resourced and grounded, with an intention of rippling change from with-in to with-out & facilitating deep socio-political transformations for the individual, group, community & the environment.

Our short & mid-term plans include the launch of a 2 year long fellowship for practitioners of theatre, art & embodied therapeutic practices , from various marginalized & vulnerable communities across India; characterized by periodic workshop intensives facilitated by some of the best international practitioners. The idea is to cultivate a network of practitioners across the country and learn the best practices to enhance trans-formative processes across various communities.

Simultaneously, Kalaa Dhari will bring the Comprehensive Resource Model to India by creating a pool of mental health professionals, with a fundamental intention to facilitate the experience of deep trauma healing spaces across the country.

Currently, a fantastic team of brilliant & inspiring women have come together as potential  Board of Directors of Kalaa Dhari.

Currently, Kalaa Dhari will be registering under the Section 8 Companies Act.
